Anglo-Indian Rosewood Glass Front CabinetMid 19th century
A British colonial glass front cabinet in rosewood with a flat top, gadrooning on the edge and wave carving on the frieze. The frames of the double doors are carved with elongated reserves and circles in the corner and each door has ten bevelled glazed panels, the interior fitted with four mahogany shelves. The bottom is finished with a gadrooned moulded edge and rests on melon sectioned carved feet.
The cabinet is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The rosewood has a dark shade with a striking grainBombay
