Anglo-Indian Teakwood Chest of DrawersEarly 19th century
Antique British colonial Regency teakwood chest of drawers with a beautifully figured rectangular moulded top. Two short drawers above three long drawers of equal size, all with the original ring plate handles and escutcheons. The drawers with dovetail joints and the drawer fronts have stepped down sides.
The chest stands on a plinth with bracket supports and has a brass carrying handle on the sides.
The chest is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
