Elephant Parade Singapore 2011 celebrates the wonderful Asian elephant in the most colorful way possible. But tragically, this iconic animal is threatened with extinction due to massive habitat loss. It is simply running out of space and time.
What is Elephant Parade?
Elephant Parade is the world’s largest open air art exhibition of decorated elephant statues that seeks to attract public awareness and support for Asian elephant conservation. The elephant statues never go unnoticed
by the wider public and the mass media.
Elephant Parade’s concept is a unique combination of Art, Business and Charity. Art drives the value of the Elephant Parade: the life size baby elephant statues are exhibited all over Singapore and will be auctioned by Sotheby’s at an event on 12th January 2012 in a bid to raise SGD 2,5 million to support the work of the Asian Elephant Foundation.
Our elephant Timeless Chic
The Past Perfect Collection is proud to be part of this initiative and to helping save the Asian elephant population. We have sponsored the unique bronze elephant called Timeless Chic. He joins a further 161 life-size baby elephants in Singapore landmark locations and can be seen on the lawn in front of Asian Civilisations Museum from 11th November 2011 till 11th January 2012 . Let the children speak
Do you want to make a contribution too and at the same time make your children more aware about the endangered elephant? Take a picture of your child and “Timeless Chic” and let him or her say what makes the elephant so special and why he should be protected. Send the picture and the child’s statement to info@pastperfect.sg together with name, age and nationality; we will publish it on our website and facebook page and we will donate SGD 10 to the Asian Elephant foundation for each entry.
